Co-extruded conductive elastomer is combined conductive and non-conductive silicone elastomer and is Co-extruded by using special die. Other than good shielding effectiveness, with correct groove size design, the product can also achieve excellent waterproof and dust-proof functions, with the highest protection up to IP68. According to different conductive particles, products could be categorized into 4 types: Ag/Al + silicone elastomer co-extrusion (CF2310), Ni/C + silicone elastomer co-extrusion (CF2110), Ag/Glass + silicone elastomer co-extrusion (CF2410), and Ag/Al fluorosilicone + silicone elastomer co-extrusion (CF2320).
Remark
1) Co-extrusion strip products have PSA option. Due to the different processes of adhesive and the release liner, compared with non-adhesive products, the length tolerance should be relaxed while the liner is attached. After the protection liner is removed, the dimensional tolerances can be restored.
2) Co-extrusion strips are directional when installed in the groove. The non-conductive part can be in contact with water and should be toward the outside to complete environmental sealing, while the conductive portion is installed facing inside and is in contact with upper & lower metal covers to form a continuous electric path.
