Foam core metal shielding wire mesh

Foam core metal wire mesh is a high-performance functional material that combines

highly conductive metal wire mesh with lightweight foam materials such as polyethylene,

polyurethane, or silicone foam, designed specifically for electromagnetic shielding and

structural lightweighting needs. Its core structure is composed of precision woven metal

wire mesh (such as stainless steel 316L, tin plated copper or nickel based alloy) as a shielding

layer, wrapped or laminated on the surface of the closed cell foam core material. Metal wire

mesh achieves efficient shielding by reflecting and absorbing electromagnetic waves (covering

the frequency range of 10kHz to 40GHz), while foam plays three key roles: filling and cost

reduction - filling mechanical processing gaps through flexible expansion, reducing the

amount of metal materials used, and reducing overall costs by 30% -50% compared to

pure metal pads; Structural support - The closed cell structure provides stable rebound

force (compression rebound rate ≥ 70%), maintains the geometric shape of the metal mesh,

and avoids attenuation of shielding performance due to long-term compression; Environmental

adaptation - The foam has IP67 dust and water resistance, while buffering vibration and impact,

extending the service life of the equipment. This material combines the conductivity of metals

with the lightweight advantage of foam, and can be quickly molded through hot pressing,

die-cutting, or injection molding processes. It is widely used in fields such as 5G communication,

new energy vehicles, aerospace, and industrial automation, providing low-cost and highly

reliable electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) solutions for components such as chassis,

connectors, and antenna covers.

Product Application
5G communication equipment: used for interface sealing of base station filters and RF modules to reduce the risk of high-frequency signal leakage.
New energy vehicles: installed in the gaps between the battery pack and motor controller casing to resist the impact of electromagnetic interference on the onboard electronic system.
Aerospace: As a shielding pad for satellite communication equipment and aircraft avionics systems, it is suitable for extreme temperature environments ranging from -55 ℃ to+155 ℃.
Industrial automation: used for electromagnetic protection of PLC control cabinets and sensors, ensuring stable operation of equipment in strong interference scenarios.

Product characteristics
Efficient shielding: The shielding effectiveness of the metal mesh reaches 65-115dB, meeting military and civilian standards such as IEC 61000 and MIL-STD-461.
Lightweight design: The foam density is as low as 0.2-0.6g/cm ³, and the overall weight is reduced by 40% -60% compared to pure metal solutions.
Environmental resistance: salt spray resistance, UV resistance, chemical corrosion resistance, suitable for outdoor or high humidity industrial scenes.
Easy to install: Supports adhesive bonding, mechanical buckle or welding processes, suitable for installation needs of curved or irregular structures.

Product specifications (customized)
